Three hid her during the War and a fourth who, after the War, took her to Israel. As a child, she was left in a convent near Zomość, where she was cared for by Sister Bogumiła Makowska (later honoured by Yad Vashem). On her return, she manages to find one of the women who hid her, as well as Sister Bogumiła.
