On 22 July 1942, the Germans began deporting Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto to the German Nazi extermination camp Treblinka II. From 22 July to 21 September 1942, the Germans deported no fewer than 254,000 people to the immediate extermination camp.

On 10 July 1941 several hundred Jewish residents of Jedwabne in the Łomża District were burned alive in a barn. Although the German inspiration for this crime is undoubted, its direct allegations were Poles from Jedwabne and the surrounding villages. How did it happen?

Where in Warsaw did Jews hide during World War II? How many of those places have survived to the present day? What stories are concealed behind those addresses?
