Baranek Family Grave Restored
Conservation work on the gravestone, in the Miechów parish cemetery,of the Baranek family, Righteous Among the Nations, has been completed.

Buried there are Łucja and Wincenty Baranek, together with their two sons, Henryk and Tadeusz. The entire family was murdered by Germans for helping four Jews, fugitives from the Miechów ghetto. In March 1943, the Germans raided the Baranek home and shot everyone there – the Baranek family and those whom they were hiding.
The renovation of the gravestone was financed by the Council for the Preservation of the Memory of Battle and Martyrdom.
