Warsaw for Irena Sendler- the mother for 2500 children
A ceremony commemorating Irena Sendler- the Righteous Among the Nations- will take place in the New City Market in Warsaw on 8th June.

Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, the president of Warsaw and Gołda Tencer, the director of the Shalom Foundation will organise an extraordinary history lesson on the occasion of the 100 anniversary of Irena Sendler’s birthday.
Young people from Warsaw will meet together to celebrate the memory of that great person.
During the meeting a film entitled "Przesłanie Ireny Sendlerowej" ('Irena Sendler’s Message') will be presented, at the end of the celebration the participants will release balloons with wishes for the Righteous into the sky.
