Sebastian Rakowski’s Otwock Jews and Tomasz Brzostek’s The Land of strange dreams... exhibitions
Otwock Jews exhibition is devoted to all aspects of the life of Jews in Otwock, from the town’s early days to the WWII period. It consists of fifteen display-boards. Shown are various documents, witness reports, and photographs of the Otwock ghetto during its functioning and liquidation.
The exhibition also showcases the relations between Jews and Christians in town. The stories of Irena Sendler and other Righteous Among the Nations from Otwock and its vicinity are featured here as well. The Land of strange dreams exhibition by Tomasz Brzostek comprises eighteen black and white photographs showing the world of the Jewish inhabitants of the Otwock shtetl.
The combined exhibitions have been presented a number of times in Warsaw, Otwock, Grudziądz, Chojnice, Izabelin, Dobrodzień, Szczytno, and Dąbrowa Górnicza. They were also twice on display in Israel.
