The Remains of Helena Zelwerowicz-Orchoń to be Interred in the Skolimów Cemetery
After many months of effort, the urn containing the remains of the late Helena Zelwerowicz-Orchoń will return to Poland from New York. Helena was the daughter of Aleksander Zelwerowicz, actor and director, a Righteous Among the Nations.

The internment ceremony took place at noon on Wednesday 10th September 2014 at the Skolimów cemetery, in the Actors Section. The funeral was preceded by a Mass celebrated in the chapel of the Veteran Polish Actors Home in Skolimów (ul. Kazimierza Pułaskiego 6).
During World War II, Helena Zelwerowicz-Orchoń, together with her father, Aleksander, provided help to their Jewish friends. In 1977, both were honoured with the title of Righteous Among the Nations. Read more about this story of help.
