Irena Sendler Award “For Repairing the World”- 4th edition
The Irena Sendler Award “For Repairing the World”, a 10 000 $ gift, is given annually to primary and secondary school teachers who teach and educate in the spirit of tolerance and respect for the others, who inspire to take actions in accordance with these values and who play an active role in their schools and local communities. In 2010 the award will be given for the 4 th time. The Jewish Community in Warsaw is a partner to the programme.

The awards are presented annually in the United States and Poland.
The deadline for the new 2010 application is June 5, 2010 (the applications must be received by due date). A competition webpage featuring the latest news is available: www.nagrodasendlerowej.pl
The competition is held under the patronage of the Minister of National Education, Katarzyna Hall.
