Anna Mieszkowska’s book about Irena Sendler, Mother of the Children of the Holocaust, has just been released in Italy. The Catholic Italian journal Avvenire quotes excerpts from the foreword by the known artist Moni Ovadia. The author refers to the anti-Semitic campaign of 1968 as the last such series of attacks in Europe.

Ovadio reminds that it was only the involvement and efforts of a group of students from Kansas, USA, that brought the story and achievements of Irena Sendler back from the depths of oblivion.
