"Życie na krawędzi" ("Life on the Edge") – a film on Henryk Sławik
Preview screenings of the film Życie na krawędzi (Life on the Edge) took place in several Polish cities last weekend. The film tells the story of Henryk Sławik and József Antall who, together during World War II, aided Polish Jews in Hungary.
Religia TV and Fundacja Dobrych Wieści (Good News Foundation) produced the film. The dramatised scenes feature Krzysztof Globisz as Henryk Sławik and Olgierd Łukaszewicz as József Antall snr. The film is narrated by Piotr Fronczewski. Hungarian President János Áder and Polish President Bronisław Komorowski are the film’s Honorary Patrons.
The film premiered on Religia TV on Sunday 28th September 2014. It screened on 24th September at Warsaw’s Iluzjon Cinema, at Katwoice’s Śląsk Library on 25th September and at Jastrzębie Zdrój’s Centrum Cinema on 27th September.
