Władysław Bartoszewski Laid to Rest in Powązki Cemetery
A crowd of thousands came to farewell the late Professor Władysław Bartoszewski at his funeral held in Warsaw on Monday 4th May 2015.

Those who accompanied the Professor on his final journey included President Bronisław Komorowski, Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz, German President Joachim Gauck and Speaker of the Senate Bogdan Borusewicz. The Chief Rabbi of Poland, Rabbi Michael Schudrich, recited a psalm at the Professor's graveside.
Requiem Mass was celebrated by Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz.
Professor Bartoszewski was laid to rest in Powązki Cemetery, on the Professorial Avenue.
