Training for the researchers of the program
The training lasted several hours and consisted of two parts. The first module was a presentation prepared for the candidates for researchers in order to present them the general guidelines of the program and the methodology of interviewing the Righteous Among the Nations. The second part was both for the candidates and for the researchers who participated in the previous editions. The training included film workshops conducted by the director Edyta Wróblewska, who taught the researchers how to work with film cameras. The participants also analyzed the recordings already made during the program (these materials are available on YouTube: Polish Righteous on YouTube) and they recorded short films, which they later discussed together. The main goal of the training was to prepare the researchers to talk with the Righteous and to efficiently collect and record their accounts.
The training was prepared by the coordinator of the program Łucja Koch, the coordinator of the project of collecting the accounts – Karolina Dzięciołowska – the collaborator of the program Ewa Opawska and the director Edyta Wróblewska. 24 persons participated in the training.
During this year’s edition of collecting accounts for the program “Polish Righteous – Recalling Forgotten History” about 100 interviews will be conducted with the Polish Righteous Among the Nations. The realization of this project is possible thanks to the grants awarded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland as part of the program “Promotion of Knowledge about Poland” (“Promocja Wiedzy o Polsce”) and by the Civic Initiatives Fund.
