The Righteous Marian Gołębiowski Passes Away
With deep sorrow, we advise that Marian Gołębiowski, Righteous Among the Nations, passed away on 23rd April 2015. Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday 29th April at 12 noon at Holy Cross Church on Krakowski Przedmieście. The National Orchestra and Choir, with whom Marian Gołębiowski had worked for many years, will take part in the ceremony.

During the occupation, Marian Gołębiowski helped several Jewish friends. He provided food and support to Teresa Huppert and her son Uri who were hiding in Nowy Sącz under the name of "Halecki". He also helped Dr. Bernard Ingram, the partner of his school friend. He found him hiding places in Jaślo and in the surrounding area.
