The Righteous Helena Bocoń Dies
The Righteous Helena Bocoń, from Humnisk, Podkarpacie, died on the 6th May 2013. She was 87 years old.

Helena Bocoń, together with her mother, Michaliną Kędra, was honoured as a Righteous Among the Nations for helping the Markow family during the War.
They hid the Markow family from 1942 until 1944 when the area was liberated by the Red Army. Helena helped her mother care for those in hiding. In order to ensure enough food for everyone, both went travelled to fairs. Helena smuggled for and vodka to Kraków. Michalina travelled as far as Lwów.
