The third edition of an educational project, aimed at prisoners, took place in Gliwice. It is dedicated to the Righteous Among the Nations.

From June, the Katowice Prison Service Inspectorate together with the International Centre of Education on Auschwitz and the Holocaust has conducted this project in prisons within the Katowice area. This year, the Galicia Jewish Museum in Kraków has joined in the project.

The program encompasses the exhibition, Polish Heroes: Those Who Saved Jews, which present profiles of selected Righteous, plus talks by museum experts from Oświęcim and Kraków. It is intended to generate sensitivity to harm caused to others, as well as awareness to intolerance, xenophobia and hatred.Several thousand prisoners from Kielce, Kraków and Gliwice have taken part so far.
