Jan Karski Exhibition in London
The World Knew: Jan Karski’s Mission for Humanityis an exhibition depicting Jan Karski’s life and achievements, as well as a multi-ethnic and multicultural picture of pre-War Poland and of the Polish underground state. It was organised by Jewish educational-cultural foundation Spiro Ark, in cooperation with the Polish Embassy in London and Warsaw’s Museum of the History of Poland.
Together with the exhibition, Martin Smith’s film "Messenger from Poland" was screened. In the film, Karski describes his talks with Anthony Eden, Foreign Affairs Minister in Winston Churchill’s government, with writer Herbert George Wells, with US Supreme Court judge Felix Frankfurter, with US Secretary of State Cordell Hull and with the US President, himself, Franklin D. Roosevelt.
