Jan Karski Conference

The National School of Public Administration and the Museum of Polish History will host a conference, on 9th December 2014, entitled “In the Poland’s Name. Jan Karski – Emissary of the Polish Government in Exile”. The conference will include the screening of a film, the formal opening of an exhibition and discussions devoted to Karski.

Conference Program 9th December 2014:

10.00 am – Opening of exhibitionJan Karski – a Man of Freedom, prepared by the Museum of Polish History

10.30 am – Panel discussion In the Poland’s Name. Jan Karski – Emissary of the Polish Government in Exile. The panel will comprise:

Director of the Museum of Polish History, Robert Kostro, Dr hab. Andrzej Kunert, Dr Paweł Ukielski, Director of The National School of Public Administration, Jan Pastwa. Chairman will be Dr Paweł Soloch.

Discussion will focus on the figure of Karski in completing his mission given to him and organised by the Polish state, as a phenomenon of the Polish Government-in-Exile, without which Karski would not have been able to complete his mission. Undertaking such missions is part of the mission of the The National School of Public Administration, which shpaes the ideological attitudes of those aiming to work in the civil service.
