14th anniversary of Tadeusz Cholewa receiving the Righteous Among the Nations title
Fourteen years ago, on 19th May 1986, Tadeusz Cholewa was awarded the Righteous Among the Nations title.

Since 1941 Eliasz and Sala Schur and Sala’s brother, Jan Wasserberger were hiding in Tadeusz’ s apartment in Wieliczka near Kraków. Some time after, in fear of denunciation, Tadeusz helped the whole three people to get to Warsaw. Sala’s newly born baby was placed in an orphanage in Kraków.
Thanks to Cholewa’s courage they all of them survived the war.
Tadeusz Cholewa died two years after he was recognised as the Righteous Among the Nations.
