Story of Rescue - Baran Boleslaw

During the War, Bolesław Baran lived in Kraków, where he worked as a municipal official. He used his position to create, for Jews, falsified identity cards (kennkarte) and food coupons. Amongst those who benefitted from his help were Józefa Singer and actor Janina Wernicz.

 

After the War, Bolesław Baran was presented with the Righteous Among the Nations medal.
