Story of Rescue - The Antosiewicz Family

Marianna Kasprzak was born in 1936.

During the war, Marianna Kasprzak, together with her parents, Feliks and Wiktoria Antosiewicz, lived in Radzyń Podlaski. The Antosiewicz family helped shelter two Jews, Pesa Bidermann and Saba Blumen, who escaped from a transport to the concentration camp at Majdanek. The Jewish women moved freely around the house, but when endangered, hid in a shelter by the stove. Pesa and Saba stayed at Marianna's until 1945.

After the war, they both got married and emigrated from Poland. Maria and Feliks Antosiewicz were awarded the medal “The Righteous Among the Nations.”

The relation was recorded in the framework of the project "Lights In The Darkness - The Righteous Among The Nations", courtesy of the "Ośrodek Brama Grodzka - Teatr NN" in Lublin
