Our virtual exhibition "The House Under a Wacky Star” in new issue "Report 2016: The Righteous"
The project's aim is to arouse interest, amongst young people, in the stories of these heroes from World War II and in the values of courage and dedication that they represent. This quarterly magazine features stories of Poles honoured as Righteous Among the Nations, as well as of those who have as yet not been granted that title.
Among the stories told in the latest edition is that of the Ulma family from Markowa, Władysław Bartoszewski and Jerzy Lerski, as well as elaborating on the policies of the Third Reich regarding those who aided Jews in Europe. In addition, students Aleksandra Polit and Paulina Kołodziej introduce readers to our virtual exhibition "The House Under a Wacky Star” the story of Jan and Antonina Żabiński who saved Jews at the Warsaw ZOO.
Free copies of this quarterly magazine can be obtained at the POLIN Museum, as well as at other cultural institutions such as the Ulma Family Museum of Poles Who Rescued Jews in Markowa, the Jan Karski Foundation and at the Marek Edelman Centre for Dialogue in Łódź. It is also available online HERE.
