A Jan Karski Mural in Warsaw’s Praga

, 16 November 2016
A mural depicting the face of Jan Karski has been unveiled on the wall of a building in Lubelska street in the Warsaw suburb of Praga.

The mural was created by participants of workshops organised by foundations – JGD (Germany), Metukenet (Isreal) and Fundacja Wspólna Europa (Poland). This two-week youth workshop was directed at fighting discrimination and propagating tolerance. The five Poles, four Germans, and five Israelis spent the first week in Germany and the second in Warsaw. The creation of the Jan Karsky mural, under the supervision of graphic artist Marcin Malicki, marked the end of the workshops.
