An Exhibition: The Kraków Righteous – Their Motives, Attitudes and Message
Amongst the Righteous whose stories will be presented will be fourteen members of the Koła Środowiskowego in Krakówof the Polish Association of the Righteous: Stefania Filo-Wilkosz, Mirosława Gruszczyńska, Artur Król, Maria Nowak, Maria Rudzka, Rev. Witold Stolarczyka, Teresa Dietrich, Augusta Szemelowska, Janina Strychalska, Maria Habiniak, Maria Kot, Stefan Mika, Kazimierz Sawicki, Bishop Albin Małysiaka, as well as the parents of Krzysztof Włodarczyk - Zofia and Marian Włodarczyk.
The heroes of the exhibition differ a great deal – their origins, education, religion, world view, level of affluence and social status. What links them is the fact that, during World War II, they selflessly extended help to Jews and, years later, were honoured as Righteous Among the Nations. Each story is different, each is fascinating and dramatic.
The exhibition will remain open until 9th February 2014.
