Against "Polish camps"

Joanna Król, 16 November 2016
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs published an open letter dealing with the use of expressions such as “Polish death camps” and “Polish concentration camps” in the foreign media, which are erroneous and distort the history of WWII. Since 2014, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been systematically addressing each instance of various media using phrases wrongfully putting the blame for the Nazi camps on Poland.

As stated on the Ministry website:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been careful to note any distortions of history that undermine the good name of Poland. Since 2004, Polish diplomacy has been reacting to offensive and false public statements about “Polish concentration camps/Polish death camps” appearing abroad, especially in the media.

The entire letter, as well as the list of all interventions of the Ministry can be found on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
