Kraków Righteous at the Virginia Holocaust Museum

The exhibition entitled “Polish Heroes: Those Who Rescued Jews”is currently presented at the Virginia Holocaust Museum in the US. It is a temporary exhibition focusing on the figures of 21 Righteous.

The exhibition was opened on November 21st, 2010 and will be presented until January 31st, 2011.

The Polish Righteous from the Małopolska region were portrayed by the photographer Chris Schwarz.

The exhibition is a tribute to over 6 thousand Polish Righteous honored by the Yad Vashem Institute with the title “Righteous Among the Nations” for rescuing Jews during the Second World War.

The project “Polish Heroes: Those Who Rescued Jews”was carried out thanks to the cooperation between the Galicia Jewish Museum and the Virginia Holocaust Museum.
