The Righteous, Paweł Roszkowski, died

Mr. Roszkowski got the title in December 2006 together with his mother Anna Krupa-Roszkowska, who was then honored after her death. During the war they helped the Kons, the family of four people.

"(...) A human being has to be treated as a human being. (...) no matter whether one is a Catholic or a non-Catholic, whether one is a Muslim, or someone else... the person of any other nation. This is a human being and being a human I have inherited from my mother ever since I was a child." – he said in the interview for Jewish Museum.

A day before his death he got the honorary citizenship of the state of Israel.

One of his last wishes was request for saying kaddish at his grave.

The funeral is taking place on Friday, May 29, at 1:40 p.m. at Grębałów Cemetery in Nowa Huta.
