Warsaw for Irena Sendler – the ceremony has been cancelled
The Press Department of the Warsaw Municipal Government Office has informed that due to the danger level in the Vistula River in Warsaw, because of the resulting possible risks, and on account of the fact that a part of the schools in the capital city has been closed – a decision was made to cancel the ceremony:

The ceremony commemorating the Righteous Among the Nations, Irena Sendler, was supposed to take place on June 8th, 2010 from 11:00 to 11:45 am in the New City Market in Warsaw. It will take place at a later date.
