Jan Karski

Jan Karski, the legendary courier of the Polish Government in Exile, is the main hero of a documentary currently filmed by Sławomir Grunberg and Studio Filmowe OTO.

The director, graduate of the Łódź film school and laureate of the American Emmy award and the Jan Karski Award for “Courage and Heart”, presents the personage and life of one of the greatest Polish heroes of the 20th century, emphasizing his efforts to inform the Western countries about the extermination of Jews. At that time hardly anyone believed the shocking reports from the Polish territories. The Allies took no measures to stop the Holocaust.


Sławomir Grunberg, also cameraman and producer, participated in the making of over 40 films. He has been living in the United States since 1981.
