15th October - Solidarity With Refugees Day

Solidarity with refugees con be shown symbolically on 15th October at POLIN Museum - having your photo taken with a symbol of support or you can show support financially. You are also invited to meet refugees and with experts working in the field of immigrants and refugees.

On that day, we will also describe what these people are escaping from - war, chaos, hunger, conflagration and torture: "You are welcome!”. Poland is known for its hospitality and solidarity. Refugees and emigrants are part of our history and culture. we can and we will help others.

Join us at the Museum!

10.00-18.00
 Have you photograph taken and show your support
 Have your photo taken with a sign of support. You'll receive a copy on the spot and your photo will become part of a virtual photo album entitled "Solidarity With Refugees Day”.

12.00-18.00
 Tables of Experts
 If you have questions or doubts about the refugees, or you want to know more, come and meet the experts and refugees themselves. As specialsts they work with immigrants and refugees (organised with the Rescue Foundation)

  • collecting of funds from visitors to aid refugees (together with Polish Humanitarian Action)
  • informaation Refugees Welcome Polska, an initiative concentrating of housing refugees and foreigners waiting for acceptance of refugee status
