Web-based Oral History Project Connects Generations & Nations
Twelve students from schools in Israel and twelve students from schools in Warsaw, Wrocław and Kalisz will be asked to form pairs and work together for six months. Each Israeli student will contact one Survivor, and his or her Polish counterpart – one Witness of History. The purpose of these contacts is to become thoroughly familiar with the life history of the contacted people and collect materials about them. Students will use these materials to build a blog featuring the life history of the contacted person.
Polin Webfusion is a continuation of the Thirty-Six Righteous project conducted in 2007-2008 in schools in Warsaw and Tel Aviv. The project culminated in the summer of 2008 with a youth exchange event: Israeli winners of best blog awards spent a week in Poland and then Polish award recipients toured Israel. together forging friendships that can last a lifetime.
