Vale Bronisław Król

Klara Jackl, 24 June 2017
With great sorrow, we advise that Bronisław Król, a Righteous Among the Nations of the World, has passed away on Monday,19th June 2017, at the age of 94 .

During the Holocaust, Bronisław Król helped Jewish childhood friend, Icchak Erdman. When, in December 1942,  Icchak was forced to change his hiding place, Bronisław came to his aid. He helped him to obtain false papers and to find work on a Polish farm in the village of Zdrochec, near Tarnów. Bronisław would warn Icchak when Germans were to come to the village. He protected him against being denounced about who he really was. From time to time, he also supported him materially, bringing him food. Icchak Erdman survived the War and, in 1957, left for Israel.

Bronisław Król został uhonorowany tytułem Sprawiedliwego wśród Narodów Świata w 1985 roku.
