1% of Your Tax to Support the Righteous Among the Nations

As every year, taxpayers have the opportunity to direct 1% of their tax payment to a charity of their choice. The Jewish Initiative for the Righteous encourages taxpayers to show their support for those Righteous Among the Nations who need our financial help.

An appeal the community by the Jewish Initiative for the Righteous:

The Righteous Among the Nations displayed exceptional heroism during horrific times. Their number is diminishing. Often, they live in poverty and loneliness, modestly denying their heroism out of modesty or fear.

In order to to direct 1% of your income tax, all you need do is to add the following to your 2016 PIT under: "Wniosek o przekazanie 1% podatku należnego na rzecz organizacji pożytku publicznego”, write Stowarzyszenie Dzieci Holocaustu w Polsce o numerze KRS: 0000097668. It is important to write "Sprawiedliwi" as the purpose of the payment.

To one person who directs 1% of his/her taxes to this project, the Jewish Initiative for the RIghteous will award a prize of a one week holiday for two in the Swiss Alps! The benefactors of this prize (descendants of those rescued by RIghteous AMong the Nations) are offering a fully paid trip with a program of activities. The trip offer will be valid for one year. The details and timing of the holiday will be determined with the winner.

Anyone who would like to support the Righteous, in ways other than directing 1% of their taxes, can make donations to the RIghteous directly. Please contact us regarding this..
